The short version

  • The camera is analysed on your phone to count. Your sessions, videos and records are stored on your phone. There’s no account and no TouchTally server, so we can’t see them.
  • The microphone is used only to count jump rope by sound. It’s analysed live and never recorded.
  • TouchTally uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics for anonymous usage and crash data. It never includes video, sound, names or exact counts, isn’t linked to your identity or used for tracking. It’s on by default, and you can turn it off with Share anonymous usage in Settings.
  • The coach’s note is written by Apple Intelligence on your iPhone. Ask AI opens an assistant you choose only when you tap, with a prompt you can read first.
  • Apple Health is optional and off by default. The iPhone app only writes workouts; the Apple Watch app also reads your heart rate and calories during a session it records, to show them on your wrist.
  • Purchases are handled by Apple or Google Play. We don’t see your payment details.
  • No ads, and we don’t sell your data.
  • This website can use Google Analytics, only if you accept it in the banner.

1. Who we are

TouchTally is a mobile app developed and published by FightTech (“FightTech”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the TouchTally app and this website (touchtally.web.app) handle, why, and the choices you have. You can reach us at fighttech.vn@gmail.com or through fighttech.vn.

2. Data stored on your device

Everything TouchTally records — your sessions (drill, counts, the time of each touch or rep, rhythm and other stats), session videos, records, badges, streaks and goals, and the optional details you enter such as a nickname, weight, height and weak foot — is stored locally on your phone. TouchTally has no account system. We don’t run a server that receives this data, and we can’t see, access or recover it.

  • Session videos. When Save video is on (it is by default), TouchTally saves the session video without sound in its own storage on your phone so you can replay it. You can turn saving off, delete videos automatically after 7, 30 or 90 days, delete old or all videos, and choose to exclude videos from iCloud backup.
  • Device backups. Depending on your phone’s settings, app data may be included in your device backups (such as iCloud Backup or a computer backup). Those backups are handled by Apple, Google or your computer, under their own terms.
  • Widgets, Live Activities, Siri and Spotlight. On iPhone, widgets and the Live Activity show your streak, goal or current count, and sessions can appear in Spotlight search on your device. The widgets don’t include analytics or crash reporting. Shortcuts and Siri actions run on your device. Minors mode removes sessions from Spotlight.
  • Apple Watch. If you install the Watch app, your iPhone sends it the live count, your streak and your weekly goal over Apple’s own phone-to-watch connection, and the Watch sends back only its button presses. Jump rope (or, with Pro, dribbling) counted at your wrist is kept on the Watch and, if you allow it, in Apple Health. Nothing here goes through a TouchTally server. The Watch app doesn’t include analytics or crash reporting.
  • Exports. When you export a video, a result image, a clip or your data (CSV and JSON), TouchTally creates the file on your phone and you choose where to save or share it. Any copy you share is then handled by the app, service or person you chose.

3. Camera, microphone, motion and photos

  • Camera. Used to count touches and reps. Frames are analysed on your phone: your body pose is tracked with Apple’s Vision framework and the ball is found with an on-device detector. No camera image or video leaves your phone unless you export it.
  • Microphone. Used only if you count jump rope by the sound of the rope. The sound is analysed live on your phone and is never recorded, saved or sent anywhere. Saved session videos have no sound.
  • Motion sensors. Used on the device to check that the phone is held steady while it counts. On Apple Watch, your wrist’s motion is used to count jump rope and dribbles, on the Watch only.
  • Photos. TouchTally asks for permission to add exported videos and images to your library. It doesn’t read your library.

You can change camera, microphone and photo access at any time in your phone’s Settings.

4. Apple Health

On iPhone, you can turn on Save to Apple Health (it’s off by default). TouchTally then writes each session to Health as a workout with its duration and, if you’ve entered your weight, estimated active energy. The iPhone app never reads anything from Health. If you use the Apple Watch app, it records the session as a Watch workout: with your permission it reads your heart rate and active energy during that workout to show them on your wrist, and saves the workout to Health. Sessions you count at the wrist are always recorded this way, so the Watch asks for Health access the first time. Data in Health is managed by Apple and by you in the Health app; TouchTally doesn’t send it anywhere else, and doesn’t use it for advertising. Turning the option off stops new writes; workouts already saved stay in Health until you delete them there.

5. Filming other people and children

If you film someone else, such as a child or a teammate, please make sure they — or for a child, a parent or guardian — agree. Minors mode blurs or pixelates faces, hides the Apple Health option and keeps sessions out of Spotlight. On Android, settings that affect data are behind a parent check.

6. Challenges

A challenge is a short code, a touchtally:// link or a QR code that contains the drill, the target and, if you add one, your nickname. It’s created on your phone and shared only when you choose to send it. There’s no TouchTally server and no public leaderboard; the leaderboard in the app is on your phone only.

7. Coach’s note and Ask AI

After a session, the coach’s note is written on your iPhone by Apple Intelligence, using the session’s numbers. What goes in and what comes out stay on your iPhone; nothing is sent to us or to Apple’s servers. On iPhones without Apple Intelligence, the same kind of note comes from rules built into the app.

Ask AI is optional. It shows you a short prompt with rounded numbers from the session — never video, sound or names — that you can read and edit. Only when you tap to send it does TouchTally open the assistant you pick (such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini), or copy the prompt for you to paste. TouchTally doesn’t receive the conversation; the assistant’s own privacy policy applies to it. The app remembers your last choice on your iPhone only. In Minors mode, a parent check is required before Ask AI opens.

8. Analytics and crash reports

To understand how TouchTally is used and to fix problems, the app uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics, services provided by Google. They may collect:

  • Device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, and approximate country or region.
  • Anonymous identifiers, such as an app instance ID generated by Firebase. These aren’t linked to your name, email, Apple ID or Google account.
  • Usage events, made of fixed codes only: for example, that onboarding was finished, which drill a session used, a count range such as 10–24 (never the exact count), whether a video was saved, that a personal best was set (not its value), when a widget, Live Activity, Shortcut, Siri action, Apple Watch button or remote button was used or the Pro screen was shown, which screens and features were opened, which setting was changed (on or off, or a preset, never your nickname, weight or height), whether camera, microphone or Health access was allowed, the format of an export, and rough ranges such as how long a session took or how many sessions you have.
  • Crash logs, such as the stack trace and basic device state at the moment of a crash, and error reports when something fails without crashing, made of an error code and the part of the app involved (for example the camera, video recording or saving).

What is never sent: camera frames, videos, sound, exact counts, times or session details, records, your nickname, weight or height, challenge codes, Apple Health data, or anything else you enter.

This data isn’t linked to your identity, isn’t used to track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and isn’t used for advertising. TouchTally doesn’t use an advertising identifier. The TouchTally widgets and the Apple Watch app don’t include Firebase.

You can turn it off. It’s on by default. In TouchTally, open Settings and switch off Share anonymous usage (under Privacy on iPhone, under About on Android). Analytics and crash reporting stop on that device until you switch it back on.

Google processes this information on our behalf and may do so on servers in the United States and other countries. You can learn more at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

Separately, if you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple or Google may provide us with aggregated, anonymous usage statistics and crash reports under their own terms. You can change that in your device’s settings.

9. When you contact us

If you email us — for example to ask for help or send feedback — we receive your email address, your message and anything you choose to attach or include (such as your device model or app version). We use this only to reply to you and to improve TouchTally, and keep it only as long as needed for that. Please don’t send videos of other people, especially children, unless we ask.

10. Purchases

TouchTally Pro is processed by Apple through the App Store or by Google through Google Play, depending on where you got the app. We don’t receive your name, Apple ID, Google account or payment details. The app receives your purchase status from the store — for example, which plan is active and when it renews — so it can unlock Pro. See the Apple Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy.

11. This website

touchtally.web.app is a static website hosted on Firebase Hosting (Google). Like most web hosts, the hosting provider may log technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver and protect the site. The site loads the Inter font from Google Fonts.

Website analytics

This website (not the app) can use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and guides are useful. It runs in Google Consent Mode: analytics cookies are off until you choose Accept in the banner, and advertising storage, ad personalization and Google signals are always off. When you accept, Google Analytics may set first-party cookies (such as _ga) and collect the pages you view, the page that referred you, clicks on the App Store, Google Play and email links, approximate location derived from your IP address (IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4), and browser, device and language information. Before you choose, or if you decline, Google may receive cookieless pings without analytics identifiers so that visits can be counted in aggregate.

Your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage (key ft.analytics.consent). You can change it at any time with the button below, by clearing this site’s data in your browser, or with Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Google processes this data on our behalf; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. The website has no advertising.

12. How we use information

  • To keep TouchTally working and fix crashes and bugs.
  • To understand which drills and features are useful, so we can improve the app.
  • To reply to your messages and fix the problems you report.
  • If you accept website analytics, to understand which pages and guides on this website are useful.
  • To meet legal obligations where they apply.

13. Sharing and selling

We don’t sell your data, and we don’t share it with advertisers or data brokers. There are no ads in the app or on this website. Information is shared only with the service providers described above (Google for Firebase services, website hosting and, if you accept it, website analytics; Apple and Google for purchases), or when required by law.

14. Retention and deletion

  • On your phone. Your data stays on your phone until you delete it. Open Settings, then Storage, and tap Delete everything to remove every session, video and record; this can’t be undone. Delete all videos and Delete old videos remove just the videos, and auto-delete can remove them after 7, 30 or 90 days. Deleting the app removes everything TouchTally stores.
  • Apple Health. Workouts saved to Health stay there until you delete them in the Health app.
  • Backups. Copies in device backups remain until those backups are replaced or deleted.
  • Analytics and crash data is kept according to Firebase’s retention settings and then deleted automatically. It can’t be linked back to you, so we can’t look it up by name or email.
  • Emails are kept only as long as needed to help you. You can ask us to delete them.
  • Purchase records are kept by Apple and Google as needed to confirm and restore purchases and to meet legal requirements.
  • Website analytics, if you accept it, is kept by Google Analytics for the retention period set in our account (no longer than 14 months) and then deleted.

15. Children

TouchTally is a general-audience training app that children may use with a parent or guardian. What the app records — sessions, videos and records — stays on the device. The anonymous usage and crash data described in section 8 never includes video, sound, names or exact counts, and a parent or guardian can turn it off with Share anonymous usage in Settings. We recommend turning on Minors mode when a child is training. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us at fighttech.vn@gmail.com and we’ll delete it.

16. Your choices and rights

  • Turn off anonymous usage and crash reporting at any time with Share anonymous usage in TouchTally’s Settings (it’s on by default).
  • Change camera, microphone and photo access at any time in your phone’s Settings, and turn Apple Health on or off in TouchTally’s Settings.
  • Turn off Save video, set auto-delete, or delete videos or everything in Settings → Storage.
  • Accept or decline website analytics, and change your choice at any time (see section 11).
  • Depending on where you live (for example in California, the United Kingdom or the European Union), data protection laws may give you the right to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to its use. Because we don’t hold what the app records, most requests will concern emails you’ve sent us — write to fighttech.vn@gmail.com and we’ll help.

17. Security

Because your sessions and videos stay on your phone, they benefit from your phone’s built-in security, including your passcode. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect the limited information we handle.

18. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the effective date above, and for significant changes we’ll give notice on this page or in the app.
