Getting started

Do I need an account?

No. There’s no sign-up and no password. Open TouchTally, pick a drill and press start.

How should I set up my phone?

Prop it upright 2–3 m (6–10 ft) away in good light, with your whole body and about 1 m above your head in the frame so the ball stays in view. For push-ups, put the phone on the floor 1.5–2 m to your side. Each drill shows its own tip before you start.

Which devices are supported?

TouchTally for iPhone and iPad requires iOS 18 or later. The Apple Watch app, which shows the live count, controls a session and counts jump rope at your wrist, needs watchOS 10 or later. Check Google Play for Android availability.

Why does TouchTally ask for the camera and microphone?

The camera counts your touches and reps on your phone. The microphone is only for counting jump rope by the sound of the rope; the sound is analysed live and never recorded. If you don’t allow the microphone, jump rope still counts with the camera.

Counting & replay

The count is off. What can I do?

Most misses come from the ball leaving the frame, low light or a busy background. Step back so there’s space above your head, face a plain background and add light. With Pro, you can fix a count in replay by tapping Add or Delete.

Does it count thigh and head touches?

Yes. A touch is counted when the ball turns back up after contact, whether that’s off a foot, a thigh or your head.

Can I count jump rope by sound?

Yes. Choose jump rope and turn on counting by sound. It works best on a hard floor with little background noise.

Does it work with Apple Health?

If you turn on Save to Apple Health, TouchTally saves each session as a workout, with estimated active energy if you’ve entered your weight. The iPhone app never reads from Health; the Apple Watch app reads your heart rate and calories during a session it records, to show them on your wrist. It’s off by default.

TouchTally Pro & billing

What’s included in TouchTally Pro?

Jumping jacks and plank (plus shooting, vertical jump and court footwork on iPhone), your full history with replay of every session, count editing, video export with the count in 9:16 or 16:9, CSV and JSON export, and coaching: form score per rep, voice cues, sets and rest, a metronome, juggling patterns and highlight clips. Plans: $24.99 per year with a 7-day free trial, $3.99 per month, or $49.99 once for lifetime. Prices are in USD; your store shows your local price.

How does the free trial work?

The yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial for eligible users. If you don’t cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the yearly subscription starts and your Apple ID or Google Play account is charged.

How do I cancel my subscription?

On iPhone, open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose TouchTally and tap Cancel Subscription. You can also tap Manage subscription in TouchTally’s Settings.

On Android, open the Google Play Store, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, choose TouchTally and tap Cancel.

Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. You keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve paid for.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, so refunds are handled by them. For App Store purchases, request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play purchases, see Google Play’s refund help.

I got a new phone. How do I get Pro back?

Purchases are tied to your Apple ID or Google account. Sign in to the store with the same account on your new phone, open TouchTally and tap Restore purchases in Settings.

Privacy & data

Where are my sessions and videos stored?

On your phone. There’s no account and no cloud sync, so we can’t see them — and we can’t restore them for you. With Pro, use Export all sessions (CSV + JSON) in Settings to keep your own copy of your stats. On iPhone, Pro can also Back up with a password in Settings › Storage and restore the sessions later (videos aren’t included).

How do I stop saving videos?

Turn off Save video in Settings. You can also set videos to delete themselves after 7, 30 or 90 days, use Delete old videos or Delete all videos, and keep videos out of iCloud backup.

What does Minors mode do?

It blurs faces, hides the Apple Health option and keeps sessions out of Spotlight search. Turn it on in Settings when a child is training.

How do I delete my data?

Open Settings, then Storage, and tap Delete everything. This deletes every session, video and record on your phone and can’t be undone. Deleting the app does the same. Workouts already saved to Apple Health stay there until you delete them in the Health app.
